Senior Controls Engineer

Location: Wooster, Ohio Manufacturing Facility

We are actively seeking expert-level Senior Controls Engineer with a background in automation and controls systems within the food & beverage industry . This role offers a Corporate Relocation Package for qualified candidates who are looking to relocate to Wooster, Ohio, to support critical projects at manufacturing facilities.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and commissioning of Allen Bradley PLC (ControlLogix) systems for automation across various manufacturing facilities.
• Design and program Human Machine Interface (HMI) systems, ensuring efficient operator interactions and system functionality, with a preference for Wonderware (Aveva) ArchestrA System Platform .
• Provide on-site support for automation and controls systems, ensuring high performance and minimal downtime.
• Collaborate with third-party controls engineering partners to deliver and manage key projects.

Must-Have Expertise:

• Advanced proficiency with Allen Bradley PLCs (ControlLogix) .
• Demonstrated expertise in HMI development , preferably within Wonderware (Aveva) ArchestrA System Platform .
• Proven experience in the Food & Beverage industry or similar environments with high sanitary standards.
• Strong background in designing and specifying process control systems , including hardware, control panels, and communication protocols.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in controls engineering within the food & beverage or consumer goods sectors.
• Familiarity with MES platforms , .NET programming , SQL databases , and Ethernet/IP communication .
• Willingness to travel up to 25% for project support at various manufacturing sites.
