Title: Fullstack Software Engineer

Location: 5x per week onsite in downtown SF office.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain backend services and APIs using Node.js and TypeScript.
• Design and optimize relational database schemas using PostgreSQL and Redis for caching.
• Deploy and manage containerized applications with Kubernetes, ensuring scalability and high availability.
• Develop robust, secure, and scalable APIs, including authentication and authorization mechanisms.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize backend systems for performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with data teams to deliver analytics products and contribute to clinical, marketing, and infrastructure-focused projects.
• Own the end-to-end development lifecycle, from design to deployment, including CI/CD pipelines.

You are a detail-oriented engineer who thrives in a collaborative and dynamic environment. You enjoy building and scaling backend systems and have a strong foundation in modern development tools and practices.

Must-Have Skills

• 5+ years of backend development experience, particularly with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Expertise in building and maintaining REST APIs.
• Proficiency in SQL and relational databases (preferably Postgres).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong version control skills (e.g., GitHub, GitLab, or Azure DevOps).
• Proven ability to own projects end-to-end, including design, development, and deployment.
• Startup mentality—excited to collaborate and work onsite with a team.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Familiarity or interest in Ruby on Rails and Next.js.
• Experience building APIs and integrating with external platforms like Salesforce.
• Any experience with insurance or checkout pages.
