Job Summary:
The Process Engineer will be responsible for the design and optimization of oil and gas production and midstream facilities in a contract hourly rate of between $80-$100dph with 401k and insurances provided.
Process Engineer Responsibilities:
- Develop Design Basis criteria
- Evaluate and recommend alternative processing solutions.
- Perform process simulations and create process flow diagrams, including stream tables.
- Develop P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams) and mechanical flow sheets.
Process Engineer Involvement:
- Oil & gas production, gas processing, gas treating, and related utility systems.
- Domestic and international projects.
- Onshore and offshore facilities.
- PreFEED, FEED, and detailed engineering phases.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Minimum 8 years of experience in engineering design for greenfield offshore projects
- Proficiency in process simulation software such as HYSYS.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license preferred.
- Knowledge of engineering and design requirements for oil and gas projects, including compliance with client specifications, codes, and industry standards.
- Familiarity with relevant codes and standards (e.g., API, ANSI, ASME, NFPA) for oil and gas production and equipment installations.
- Expertise in upstream oil and gas production systems.
- Experience with flare and blowdown systems, PSV sizing, and knowledge of API 521 requirements.
