Clayton Services is searching for an Applications Engineer to join a thriving company in San Antonio, Texas.
Job Type: Direct Hire
Pay Rate: $100,000/year plus bonus

Applications Engineer Responsibilities:
- Size and select equipment, review specifications, and obtain costs to complete inquiries
- Complete all equipment data sheets, provide VDDRs, schedules, equipment cut sheets, spare parts, and product data
- Work with vendors on special pricing, review applications with salesmen and customers, drafting/engineering, and provide quotations using Syteline and Microsoft Word.
- Create and enter quotes for sales representatives to issue to customers and validate customers' account information.
- Generate progress billing dates and amount per line/order
- Builds project schedule that timelines the time of receipt, to drawing schedule, to equipment arrival, to fabrication, including all services to testing, final assembly, and shipment
- Purchase equipment once loaded for job orders
- Partner with purchasing and expediting group to ensure time deliveries
- Put customer O&M books together for job orders
- Partner with planners to schedule shop floor deliveries
- Review all BOMs, approve along with drawings for construction
- Partner with vendors on timing for projects
- Travel to customer locations for sales and project presentations
- Submit data sheets to engineering firms and customers for review on engineered projects
- Schedules all testing for final completion
- Schedule/plan and facilitate meetings with customers, vendors, and various department
- Other duties as assigned
Applications Engineer Skills and Abilities:

- Ability to travel up to 30% of the time
- Ability to read P&IDs, GAs, electrical schematic drawings, C&E documents, Haz-Op documents
- Ability to obtain technical expertise in packaging capabilities, including LACTs, SWDs, meter skids, filter skids, compressor skids/buildings, chemical skids, pipeline skids, and more.
- Ability to obtain technical expertise in products such as air compression, gas compression, pumps, blowers, generators, filters, and more.
Applications Engineer Education and Experience:
- 3+ years of relevant industry experience is required
- A minimum of a high school diploma is required; an associate's or bachelor's is preferred
- Previous project management experience is required
- Must possess a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
