Job title: Senior Account Manager

Location: Bay Area, CA


About the client and role

Our client, a leading Semiconductor company, is in search of a Senior Account Manager. This position will support the execution of the strategic sales and marketing plans for the assigned customers through use of sales and business system ability. The Account Manager will work closely with the Regional Director/Sales VP, sales team, other corporate functional teams, and the factories to maintain and support the business of the assigned customers.

Responsibilities

Account Farming (External):

  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships; act as the primary contact for AM-related matters.
  • Resolve customer issues related to production planning, logistics, purchasing, and finance services.
  • Manage customer requests, die loading, tracking, and support factory die attainment efforts.
  • Handle expired/excess material disposition, aging wafer clearance, and liability claims.
  • Address and track customer complaints, service issues, and quality concerns.
  • Provide customer reporting and respond to inquiries.

Internal Account Support:

  • Maintain and update forecasting systems with customer data (volumes, pricing, codes, etc.).
  • Conduct monthly forecast reviews and ensure accuracy.
  • Share forecast trends and updates with sales and management teams.
  • Provide accurate demand insights for operations planning and execution.
  • Follow up on AR reconciliation.

Sales Support:

  • Collaborate with Sales on AOP planning, forecasting, and quotation preparation.
  • Update system pricing and ensure alignment of customer pricing and quotations.
  • Share customer needs, volume potential, and support sales activities.
  • Prepare and coordinate materials for Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and participate as needed.
  • Support TOP/MOU/Tax penalty reclamations and other corporate initiatives.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years experience in the semiconductor industry or related field.
  • College degree or equivalent experience.
  • A self-motivated, highly motivated to succeed, “can do” attitude and result-oriented.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills, with a customer-focused mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and CRM software.
