Job Description:
As an Account Manager , you will be responsible for managing large-scale customer accounts while ensuring top-tier service delivery. Your role will include overseeing the logistics process from start to finish, including quoting, load tracking, and managing customer relationships to ensure the success of the accounts you handle. You will also work closely with internal teams to provide operational support and identify new growth opportunities within existing accounts.
Qualifications:
- Strong emotional intelligence to effectively manage relationships with clients and internal teams.
- Ability to run a large sum of loads and manage complex logistics processes.
- Skilled in track and trace of shipments and understanding the full scope of logistics management.
- Must have the ability to take ownership of projects and initiatives, ensuring smooth operations.
- Experience with spot quotes and surge capacity during peak demand periods.
- Experience in managing an operational POD , including scheduling, load building, quoting, and covering loads.
- Ability to manage logistics Cradle to Grave —from initial contact through to completion and feedback.
- Familiarity with a scorecard system , including metrics such as On-Time Delivery (OTD) , tracking consistency, email response time, and quoting time.
- Commitment to service excellence and maintaining high standards of client satisfaction.
- No set KPIs, but the expectation is to consistently exceed client expectations.
