Job Description

Join our dedicated team at Foundation for Wellness, a non-profit organization in Lafayette, LA, as a full-time Business Development Coordinator for the Continuing Medical Education (CME) department. This hybrid role is perfect for an organized and proactive individual with a passion for continuing medical and health education and a desire to make a difference in the community.

 

As the Business Development Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in the growth of the CME department by supporting business development initiatives, helping with designing marketing materials, and grant writing, while actively soliciting potential sponsors for our health educational events. Understanding the real estate of sales and marketing will be beneficial as you engage with potential sponsors, donors and funders.

 

Key Responsibilities for this role include:

  • Design engaging marketing materials, familiarity with Canva is a plus
  • Manage budgets related to educational programs, ensuring efficient use of resources
  • Understand quality customer service and relationship management strategies
  • Lead grant writing efforts to secure funding for educational initiatives
  • Edit our existing website and utilize organizational platforms
  • Assist in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of medical education programs
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to enhance educational delivery methods
  • Recruit and support faculty involved in medical education efforts
  • Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities to expand the Foundation’s client base
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase the Foundation’s sponsorship revenue
  • Lead efforts to expand opportunities for the Foundation and build strategic partnerships

 

The ideal candidate will have advanced proficiency in Excel and Word, a flair for design, and be proficient in using a variety of computer programs. Strong communication skills to engage with potential sponsors are essential, along with a flexible attitude to tackle new challenges and work effectively with team members. Minimal travel is required in this role.
