Court Street Animal Hospital (part of the NVA family) located in the heart of historic downtown Plymouth, MA, is seeking a dedicated veterinarian to join our close-knit team. Our cozy practice is set in an 1800s colonial home, blending modern medicine with a warm, homestyle atmosphere.


The Managing Veterinarian/Medical Director (MDVM) is responsible for the success of the hospital. They oversee the medical and surgical operations while leading and nurturing a culture of excellence, growth, and collaboration. They are responsible for ensuring exceptional patient care, fostering a positive work environment, driving practice growth, and financial performance in partnership with the hospital manager (HM).


As our new Veterinary Medical Director, you'll lead a team of fun and engaged professionals who have a bright future and are in it for their patients! We are HUGE on staff engagement and our doctors consistently check in with each other throughout the day to help with case loads, answer questions, review diagnostics, and offer general/emotional support. Position Requirements:

  • A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree, or equivalent, from an accredited university.
  • MA State licensure in good standing
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding the veterinary code of ethics
  • Strong leadership, mentorship and ability to delegate responsibility and achieve results with hospital team members. Capable of quality decision making.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in time and task management, with a focus on quality decision-making and professional conduct.
