At this hospital, you'll have the chance to connect with clients on a personal level, diagnosing pets and developing tailored treatment plans that improve their health and quality of life. The hospital operates Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 7:00 PM and on Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. You’ll have the flexibility to work 8 or 10-hour shifts, with weekend shifts on a rotating basis. The caseload consists of 60% wellness and preventive care, with the remaining 40% involving common pet concerns such as allergic reactions, ear infections, gastrointestinal issues, and more.
Additionally, every veterinarian is assigned a dedicated surgery day, focusing on soft tissue surgeries like spays, neuters, and dental procedures. About you:
- You must hold a Veterinary State License in New Mexico in good standing or have the ability to obtain one if you are relocating
- Must be able to commute to and from the Rio Grande area of Albuquerque, NM
- Be passionate about practicing high-quality veterinary medicine and enjoy practicing fear-free methods of handling
- Be a strong team player and enjoy working in a collaborative, multi-doctor hospital
- Hold a DVM degree from an AVMA-accredited university
- New graduates and experienced veterinarians are both encouraged to apply!
