Job Summary
Homeland is partnering with an acute care hospital in Arizona specializing in comprehensive healthcare services. Our client offers a broad range of care, including imaging, cardiac rehabilitation, cardiopulmonary, emergency services, hospice, infusion care, laboratory, orthopedics, wound care, pharmacy, and more.
They are currently hiring a Lead Ultrasound Sonographer to join their team. In this role, you will identify and address barriers to accessing services, recommend and develop policy or procedure changes, and ensure efficient operations within the Ultrasound modality. Additionally, you will provide leadership, guidance, and support to the ultrasound team, collaborating with the Director to achieve departmental goals and deliver exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and address barriers to service access, recommending policy or procedure changes as needed
- Communicate effectively with the Director, providing timely feedback as required
- Assist the Director with performance evaluations for staff and team leaders
- Organize, coordinate, and direct daily activities within the Ultrasound modality
- Oversee scheduling and completion of annual competency checklists for staff
- Engage, advise, and assist staff according to established performance standards
- Ensure adequate inventory levels and availability of necessary equipment
- Complete tasks assigned by the Director within specified timeframes
- Order medical and office supplies for the Ultrasound modality
- Oversee staff scheduling to minimize overtime and ensure department coverage, addressing concerns with the Director
- Consult with the Director on potential challenges within the Ultrasound department
- Perform ultrasound procedures and exams on patients of all ages for the diagnosis of anatomic and physiologic disorders
- Assist the Director in leading the Diagnostic Imaging Department to ensure high-quality imaging services
Requirements
- Minimum of three years of experience within the United States
- Complies with legal, hospital, and departmental policies and procedures
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Graduation/completion of an accredited Ultrasound sonography program (required)
- ARDMS certification preferred at the time of application; must obtain ARDMS certification within 6 months of hire
- CPR certification required within 90 days of hire
Additional Information
Our client offers a sign-on bonus of up to $10,000 for candidates with 2+ years of experience and a $5,000 relocation package for eligible applicants.
