We have an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources Manager in Ashland, Virginia that will collaborate closely with manufacturing leaders to streamline operational functions while ensuring alignment with HR policies, regulatory standards, and best practices across compensation, benefits, health management, talent management, and leave administration. The selected candidate will lead and strategically apply HR best practices within the business unit, including succession management, workforce planning, compensation, training, and skills development to meet company needs and objectives. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Partner with business leaders to drive effective budgeting, workforce planning, and succession planning strategies that align with short to long-term goals
- Provide tailored coaching and consulting to empower operations and administrative leadership teams in performance management and workforce development
- Champion a dynamic "attract and retain" strategy while leading the execution of monthly, quarterly, and annual HR initiatives
- Leverage HR analytics to deliver actionable insights and facilitate clear, impactful reporting on HR and company-wide initiatives and updates
- Serve as an ambassador for packaging facility in the community and at corporate events, fostering strong connections across the USA and Canada
- Drive change management efforts through open communication, relationship building, and fostering trust at all levels of the organization
- Advocate for continuous improvement by introducing innovative concepts and guiding teams toward achieving their objectives with clarity and purpose
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Psychology, or a related field
- 3+ years of professional experience in human resource management in the manufacturing industry.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance in the US and the State of Virginia
- Proficient in MS Office; experience with HRIS systems preferably in SuccessFactors
- Leadership experience supporting a diverse industrial workforce
- Extensive knowledge of compensation and benefits management, health management, talent management, etc.
- Excellent ability to build and support a customer-focused culture based on a people-centric approach.
- Proven success in change management and knowledge of continuous improvement concepts to integrate in management.
- Proven ability to drive buy-in for solutions and lead change initiatives
