Pride Health is hiring a Pharmacy Vendor Manager to support our client’s facility in Boston, MA. This is a 26-week contract (Possibility of extension or conversion) opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!


Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Pharmacy Vendor Manager to join our team. This strategic role will oversee relationships and contracts with Pharmacy Benefit Managers (PBMs) and specialty pharmacy vendors, ensuring alignment with both regulatory obligations and the organization’s long-term goals. As the Pharmacy Vendor Manager, you will drive initiatives to optimize pharmacy benefits programs, enhance vendor performance, and contribute to strategic decision-making across Medicaid, Medicare, and commercial markets.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage relationships with PBMs and pharmacy vendors, ensuring alignment with organizational strategic goals.
  • Develop strategies for contract negotiations and performance management, focusing on cost savings, enhanced service delivery, and contract optimization.
  • Monitor vendor performance, ensuring compliance with service level agreements (SLAs) and performance metrics.
  • Provide high-level reports and insights to senior leadership on vendor performance, compliance, and cost trends.
  • Act as a liaison across departments (Compliance, Finance, Legal, Clinical) to drive initiatives and improve member outcomes.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and regulatory changes, particularly PBM practices.
  • Implement innovative pharmacy solutions (e.g., value-based contracting, specialty pharmacy models) to drive cost-efficiency and member satisfaction.
  • Lead governance of vendor contracts, ensuring accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee pharmacy network adequacy, optimization, and compliance with regulations.
  • Mitigate vendor-related risks and ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory obligations.
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership to influence policy development.


Qualifications:

  • Professional bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, public health, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a managed care setting (provider, payer, or PBM side of the industry)

  • Location: Boston, MA
  • Job Type: 26-week contract
  • Shifts: Mon - Fri, 5*8
  • Pay Range : $1400-$1500 Weekly
