Position Overview:

National DCP is a prominent player in the food service distribution industry, committed to providing top-quality distribution services. As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a Senior Analyst of Finance to join our team and play a pivotal role in shaping our financial strategies.


Responsibilities


We are seeking an experienced and results-oriented Senior Analyst with a strong background in finance – preferably with experience in the food service distribution sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing financial results, ensuring compliance, and assisting in optimizing performance for multiple distribution centers.

The Sr. Analyst will have ownership of the budgeting, reporting and strategic analysis for the operations of the business. The Sr. Analyst will be the primary point of contact, within finance, for operations leadership at their assigned distribution centers. The Sr. Analyst will provide company stakeholders with an understanding of the key operational drivers in variances to budget and forecast, being the subject matter expert on all things relating to the operations of their distribution centers. This will necessitate regular coordination with various levels of leadership across finance and operations, to ensure alignment. Additionally, this role will be instrumental in maintaining robust financial models, pro-forma financial statements, and other requirements as part of high-visibility operations initiatives. This role requires strong intellectual curiosity and financial modeling skillsets, as well as exceptional people skills as it involves regular interaction with senior leadership.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes specific to food service distribution for multiple distribution centers.
  • Monitor and analyze financial results, providing insights and recommendations for improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards relevant to the distribution industry and GAAP reporting standards.
  • Evaluate and enhance financial processes and systems tailored to food service distribution.
  • Conduct financial risk assessments and recommend appropriate actions.
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide financial guidance and support in decision-making related to distribution operations.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
  • 2+ years of progressive financial management experience, with a strong background in the food service distribution industry.
  • Strong financial modeling and analysis skills, with a focus on distribution-specific metrics.
  • Excellent knowledge of financial software and tools used in distribution management.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment unique to food service distribution
