Job Description

RETS Associates has been engaged to recruit a Senior Director of Development for a world-class mixed-use development project spanning over 100 acres, $4B, and 10 years, located in Anaheim, CA . The Sr. Director will lead diverse projects including multifamily, office, retail, concert venues, parking garages, and hospitality components. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in real estate development, with a proven track record in managing complex projects across multiple product types. Responsibilities

  • Spearhead the development of a mixed-use project that integrates diverse asset types, including multifamily housing, office spaces, retail environments, concert venues, parking garages, and hotel or hospitality components.
  • Lead all aspects of the project lifecycle, from concept development and entitlements to construction and final delivery.
  • Oversee multiple components of the mixed-use project simultaneously, ensuring seamless coordination between asset types and project phases.
  • Manage timelines, budgets, and resources across various disciplines to deliver exceptional outcomes.
  • Partner with internal teams and external consultants to meet design, construction, and operational standards.
  • Act as the key point of contact for stakeholders, including city officials, architects, and contractors.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Architecture, Urban Planning, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 9+ years of experience in real estate development, with a proven track record working on diverse and large-scale projects.
  • Experience and managing internal and external projects team including Architects, Engineers, and Contractors.
  • Experience working with state and local governmental agencies. Knowledge of CEQA and other applicable development regulations & policies highly preferred.


Compensation

  • Base of $200K+ DOE plus annual bonus
