The main function of a Staffing Associate is to maintain the human resource records of an organization’s employees. A typical Staffing Associate is responsible for maintaining personnel documents as well as performing background checks, along with other employee-related activities.
Job Responsibilities:
• Process, verify and maintain documentation relating to personnel activities such as staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations and classifications.
• Process and review employment applications to evaluate qualifications or eligibility of applicants.
• Record data for each employee, including such information as addresses, weekly earning and supervisory reports on performance.
• Answer questions regarding examinations, eligibility, salaries, benefits and other pertinent information.
• Request information from law enforcement officials, previous employers and other references to determine applicants’ employment acceptability.
Skills:
• Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage one’s time.
• Ability to accurately document and record customer/client information.
• Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
Education/Experience:
• High school diploma or GED required.
• 0-2 years related experience required.
