Primary Services is excited to announce the role of a Chemical Process Engineer for our client. Leverage your expertise in process engineering to support large-scale projects and work with a team of professionals dedicated to driving innovation and efficiency. This role is ideal for experienced engineers looking to expand their careers within a large, well-established company in the energy sector.

Responsibilities:

  • Support project engineers and managers by analyzing technical problems and developing sound engineering solutions.
  • Prepare feasibility and conceptual studies, FEED work, permit engineering, and QRA.
  • Draft equipment specifications, prepare cost estimates, and evaluate vendor and contractor proposals.
  • Develop technical proposals, engineering documents, and vendor specifications, while optimizing costs, processes, and quality.
  • Review and develop technical specifications to stay current with new technological developments.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders on project reviews, technical analysis, and peer reviews; participate in HAZOP and other engineering studies.
  • Execute minor-capital projects, focusing on revenue generation and sustaining operations.
  • Solve system and equipment problems, recommend modifications to improve reliability and efficiency, and support maintenance activities.
  • Provide regular updates on project progress, budget, and capex spending to management.
  • Review existing assets and propose improvements to designs and architectures.

Qualifications:

  • 5 to 8 years of experience in the design and construction of LNG/Ammonia/LPG and/or chemical storage terminals.
  • Extensive knowledge of relevant US codes and standards.
  • Expertise in the storage and handling of refrigerated and cryogenic fluids, including chemicals, hydrocarbons, butane, propane, propylene, LNG, and ammonia.
  • Understanding of terminal business processes involving Operations and HSSE needs.
  • Strong project management experience.
  • Ability to lead engineering solutions that are fit for purpose and understand the commercial implications of engineering decisions.
  • Experience in working within an international, multi-cultural environment.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
