New opportunity with our client, a systems and maintenance engineering company that specializes in asset, life cycle management, industrial operations and program management. Their customers are within the Coast Guard, Navy, Military Sealift Command, and other commercial communities.
Candidates must have an active Secret clearance. There are additional openings for junior engineers.
Day to Day:
- Design, develop and evaluate operation of shipboard HVAC&R systems (including heating/cooling load, duct sizing and chill water piping calculations, equipment selection.
- Conduct HVAC&R trade studies.
- Lead engineers in development efforts, reviews of technical data packages and coordinate with other functional areas to complete ship design.
- Knowledge of ABS, USN, and industry standards relating to shipboard HVAC systems.
- Travel is less than 10%
Must Haves
- BS or MS in Technical, Engineering, or Marine Degree from ABET accredited institution, related to field of work.
- Minimum of 5 years’ documented experience relating to the design of marine HVAC and/or refrigeration systems.
- Strong MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills required.
- Excellent Oral, Written and Presentation skills.
- Time Management and Organization skills.
- Candidate must have strong interpersonal skills and provide examples of written correspondence.
- Candidate must possess an active Secret clearance.
