Highly respected Manufacturer of complex driveline components to the automotive industry seeks a Quality Engineer to join its team. This is a newly created role reporting to the Quality Manager and will directly support Warranty issues in conjunction with major Tier 1 Automotive Customer. This role will work closely with the Design Engineering Team is isolate issues internally or with vendor base via proven structured problem skills. Experience with Root Cause Analysis is critical for this role. Excellent growth opportunities beyond this role.

• Develop, implement, and maintain quality control systems and processes to ensure that products meet customer, suppliers, and industry standards.
• Ensure that products are of the highest quality through process improvements, inspections, and testing.
• Analyses and documents defects and feedback from customers and warranty data.
• Develop and maintain quality assurance standards to ensure compliance with customer requirements.
• Analyze and document production processes to identify areas of improvement.
• Conduct required audits to verify product and process quality and capability.
• Provide technical guidance and training to production personnel on quality control protocols and procedures.
• Develop all process owner’s metrics and create dashboard reports.
• Utilize structured problem solving skill set to include Fishbone Diagrams, 5 Why, and 8D.
• Interface with key customer on Warranty related issues that arise internally or through vendor base.

REQUIREMENTS

*Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Required. Mechanical Engineering strongly preferred

*At least two years of experience in Root Cause Analysis and experience with structured problem solving tools such as Fishbone Diagrams, 8D, and 5 Why.
