Job Details:
Octo Restaurant is looking for a dependable, hardworking manager to join our Front of House. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, develop their skills in all aspects of service, and work well with others. Knowledge of Asian cuisine, beverages, and wine, along with effective management skills to oversee the flow of the restaurant from front to back, is preferred.
Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
- Provide excellent guest service at all times.
- Oversee bar and dining hall daily operations.
- Manage liquor inventory and maintain records.
- Handle scheduling, reservations, inventory, and supply orders.
- Be present during service to engage with guests and resolve issues.
- Hire, train, and develop a high-performing person.
- Ensure food safety standards are followed.
- Solve problems quickly and stay calm under pressure.
- Stay updated on restaurant trends to improve operations.
- Excel at multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements:
- Experience is not required, but we prefer candidates with restaurant and management experience.
- Experience with Toast (POS) and Resy reservation systems is required.
