JOB SUMMARY
The Restaurant Manager will ensure that guests enjoy their experience, oversee service staff, and maintain high standards of quality and cleanliness. Responsibilities include supervising, managing budgets, and developing and sustaining programs to increase new and repeat business.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
-Work ethically
-Recruit, hire, supervise, schedule, develop, mentor, and train employees.
-Manage revenue and costs in accordance with budget.
-Ensure that company policies and procedures, safety and other laws, regulations, and requirements are implemented and followed.
- Ensure guests with good service by addressing customer complaints, requesting feedback by visiting tables and implementing changes if necessary. Must be on the floor during services.
-Ensure food quality, presentation, and compliance with health regulations.
Review financial statements, sales or activity reports, or other performance data to measure productivity or goal achievement or to identify areas needing cost reduction or program improvement
-Conduct food, fire, and water inspections with government agencies.
-Maintain and keep record of wine, food and equipment inventory.
-Collaborate with the kitchen staff to prepare and execute meals in a timely manner. Ensure food presentation, portions and garnishes are to restaurant standards.
- Maintain staff schedules, assign duties as necessary, review performance, and implement improvements.
-Check deliveries when necessary.
- Complete Open and closing procedures
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
- Minimum of two years of experience as a restaurant manager in a fine dining environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Social, outgoing and self-motivated individual
-Detail-oriented and highly organized.
- Work independently and make decisions that are best for the business while maintaining the restaurant's image.
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-Proficient in Microsoft Office (including Word and Excel), Softcraft menu, Restaurant Manager POS system,
Quickbooks
-Ability to multitask and adapt to changing situations.
-Strong problem-solving, develop solutions and leadership abilities.
-Flexible availability to meet business needs.
- Providing professionalism with respect to guests and employees.
-Ability to multitask while completing daily restaurant activities.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to lift heavy cases and stand or sit for extended periods. Climbing steps on a routine basis.
- Frequent movement throughout the restaurant to complete various tasks.
-Capacity to stand or sit for long durations.
Ability to bend, lift, carry, reach or extend arms, and raise hands above shoulder height regularly.
COMPENSATION
- Salary range $70-$90K per year. Salary is determined by numerous factors: experience, knowledge, skills and performance.
