Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per year
A bit about us: We are actively recruiting for a paralegal to join our client's growing firm in Houston!
This unique career opportunity is with a widely respected firm that specializes in public finance and municipal law on behalf of developers, local governments, and state agencies. The incoming paralegal will join an established team and handle a myriad of responsibilities related to public finance and the development of municipal utility and special purpose districts. Interested candidates must have 2+ years of related paralegal experience. Although candidates with a public finance background are preferred, all backgrounds will be considered.
Core job responsibilities include:
- Board meeting preparation, attendance, and preparation/posting of agendas, meeting documents, and meeting minutes
- Contract review and administration, including bond and insurance review, contract progress tracking, and execution
- Document preparation for issuance of public securities
- Real estate conveyances related to public infrastructure projects
- Regulatory compliance and administration tracking

Job Details Interested applicants should have a previous experience as a legal assistant or paralegal and display a consistent work history. Compensation is commensurate with experience. Specific interest interest in real estate, public finance, MUD law, commercial and residential development is strongly preferred.
Additional Qualifications:
- 1+ year of paralegal experience, preferably in a large firm setting
- Bachelor's Degree and/or Paralegal Certificate from an accredited institution
- Experience with digital file management systems
- Proficient knowledge of web-based file sharing systems (DropBox, OneDrive, SharePoint, etc)
- Experience with Clio, ProLaw, LeanLaw or Bill4Time billing software
- A desire to learn and contribute in a team environment
