Job summary: We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals to join our NEW opening team as a Server at Noriko Handroll Bar, a modern sushi handroll restaurant known for its fresh ingredients, innovative flavors, and exceptional dining experience. The ideal candidate will provide outstanding service, ensuring each guest leaves with a memorable experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Greeting and Seating:
Welcome guests with a warm, energetic, and professional demeanor.
Manage the seating chart, ensuring efficient use of space and minimizing wait times.
Provide menus and inform guests about specials or featured items, including any unique handroll offerings.
Order Taking:
Accurately take orders for drinks, sushi handrolls, snacks, and desserts, explaining menu items as needed.
Suggest pairings of drinks with sushi, focusing on traditional and creative options like sake, Japanese beer, or cocktails.
Service Execution:
Deliver orders promptly to guests, ensuring dishes are presented correctly.
Monitor and anticipate guest needs, refilling drinks, and checking for satisfaction after food delivery.
Handle any special dietary requests or allergies with care, consulting with the kitchen when necessary.
Payment Handling:
Process payments using TOAST/POS systems, manage transactions smoothly, and ensure accuracy in billing.
Provide guests with accurate change, receipts, and thank them for their visit.
Maintenance and Cleanliness:
Keep the dining area clean, including tables, chairs, and counters, clean and tidy throughout service.
Assist in setting up and resetting seats with linens, utensils, before and after guests dine.
Bathroom checks, making sure toilet papers, c-folds are refilled and all garbage bags are reset.
Customer Service:
Address any customer concerns or complaints with a solution-oriented approach, escalating when necessary and working closely with the Chefs.
Engage with guests to enhance their dining experience, potentially turning first-time visitors into regulars.
Team Collaboration:
Additional Duties:
Participate in team meetings to discuss service improvements, menu updates, or promotional events.
Assist in marketing activities like social media posts or customer feedback collection.
Requirements:
Experience in a restaurant environment; additional training will be provided.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
Knowledge or interest in Japanese cuisine and sake is a plus.
Flexible schedule, including availability for weekends, evenings, and holidays.
