As a Host, you manage the reservations system for the restaurant and are the first point of contact for guests. We are looking for mature candidates who enjoy socializing with guests, building connections, optimistic and are outgoing and who enjoy interacting with people. Essential Functions
- Taking reservations via phone, email, and in-person
- Managing Floor Plans in Open Table & Resy
- Menu printing
- Answering all phone calls
- Properly forwarding and transferring all calls to the proper extensions
- Assisting guests with directions if needed
- Proper knowledge of our location, hours of operation and menus to assist guests if they have any questions
- Knowledgeable of menus & dietary restrictions & options and specials
- Accurately and courteously taking all reservations and entering them into OpenTable & Resy
- Assigning reservations to tables to ensure all reservations are accommodated for
- Greeting all guests upon arrival in a friendly manner
- Handling Coat check for all guests
- OpenTable & Resy Reservations system management including seating guests, confirming reservations, locking floorplans for buyouts, and additional duties as needed
- Notifying server/manager/chef of any particular guest needs or requests (i.e., allergy or special occasion, VIP)
- Monitoring the tidiness of the host stand, coat check & restrooms regularly
- Thanking each guest upon departure
- Assisting in any other task as needed by management
