We are seeking an experienced tax professional to join our boutique law firm in Irvine, CA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax preparation and planning, with the ability to work directly with clients.

Job Details

• Prepare and review simple and complex tax returns for individuals, businesses, trusts, and estates
• Conduct mid-year tax projections with clients to strategize tax reduction for the remainder of the year
• Meet with clients in person to discuss tax matters and provide guidance
• Handle Lacerte (Legal Entity Certificate) filings and related processes
• Collaborate with attorneys and staff to ensure comprehensive financial services for clients

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in tax preparation and planning, preferably in a CPA firm or law firm setting
• CPA license preferred but not required if candidate demonstrates strong tax expertise
• Experience with Lacerte filing software (required)
• Strong knowledge of individual, business, trust, and estate taxation
• Excellent communication skills for client interactions
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Note: Bookkeeping skills are not required for this position, as we have dedicated bookkeepers on staff
