The Engineering Manager will oversee a small team of maintenance engineers and electrical technicians consisting of six direct reports tasked with improving the reliability of the assets in the Pittsburgh, PA facility. This team will continue to develop a newly invigorated CMMS system for preventative maintenance. Potential candidates should be willing to learn and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
Lean manufacturing principles are actively being pursued along with efforts to professionalize the workforce. The Maintenance Manager will collaborate closely with the Process Engineering department on continuous improvement projects. This role will feature strong engagement with casting, rolling, and annealing techniques and processes largely interchangeable across various metal production environments.
The Maintenance Manager will focus on three key areas:
- Lead continuous improvement efforts on equipment related issues (preventive maintenance).
- Utilize OEE metrics to assess and improve the performance of the facility including enhancements to the Preventive & Predictive Maintenance program and CMMS
- Lead capital project implementation (develop scope and budgets, purchase equipment, manage project execution).
