Systems Engineer
Type: Contract-to-Hire
We're seeking a Systems Engineer with expertise in patching to join a dynamic team. This role focuses on managing and supporting a complex enterprise IT infrastructure, with a primary emphasis on patching systems to ensure security and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
Patching: Lead patch management efforts across all systems to maintain security compliance and minimize vulnerabilities.
Manage and support LAN/WAN environments, network routing, segmentation, and wireless topologies.
Administer server virtualization, storage provisioning, and end-user device management.
Develop and implement backup and recovery processes to ensure maximum system uptime.
Monitor and mitigate security risks while supporting infrastructure monitoring tools.
Participate in Tier III operational support and on-call rotation.
Contribute to IT projects and adhere to operational and change management policies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in IT, Cyber Security, or equivalent experience.
2+ years of experience managing IT environments, including patching, virtualization, networking, and end-user devices.
Proven expertise in patch management processes and tools.
Hands-on experience with Cisco (CCNA preferred), Microsoft, VMware, Citrix, Palo Alto, Rubrik, SolarWinds, or KACE.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word.
Healthcare IT experience is a plus.
