Job Summary:

Our client is seeking a Business / Financial Analyst to join their team! This position is located in Basking Ridge, New Jersey.

Duties:

• Responsible for the accurate and timely filing of transaction tax returns
• Implement process improvements through the use of innovative and creative thinking
• Work with automation tools to reduce redundant tasks by using innovative techniques, such as Robotics and designing process flows
• Analyze financial data from Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Revenue Accounting and Corporate
• Reconcile large data sets with the use of Excel, Excel Power Query and Microsoft Access
• Review transaction tax data to ensure it is accurate and analyze variances prior to sending data to 3rd party outsourcer for filing
• Reconcile all tax liability accounts
• Review, analyze and streamline tax processes
• Assist the exemption group with research, information needed and issuance of Resale and/or Exemption Certificates, as required

Desired Skills/Experience:

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent work experience in a related field
• 3+ years of relevant work experience
• Thorough knowledge of State taxes, such as Sales and Use and other pass-through type taxes
• Knowledge of the compliance process and how tax returns are filed
• Ability to develop methods to streamline processes and develop tax planning strategies to minimize company's cash flow and overall tax burden
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
