Requirements
Top 3 Requirements:
- Associates degree +5-10 years of relevant industry experience
- USC. Have a current & active Clearance. OR be willing to Obtain/ Maintain a Secret Clearance
- A solid understanding of industry regulations such as FAA , EASA , or other relevant certifications and standards is key to ensuring that instrumentation systems are compliant and meet safety and performance requirements. Experience working with the certification processes for aircraft systems is a significant advantage.

Day to Day/Project:
System Design & Development :
- Design and develop instrumentation systems for aircraft, ensuring integration with other avionics and control systems.
- Select and specify appropriate sensors, data acquisition devices, and transducers for aircraft systems.
- MATLAB, Simulink, LabVIEW
Testing & Calibration :
- Perform testing and calibration of instrumentation systems to ensure their accuracy and functionality.
- Conduct system performance validation under various operational conditions (e.g., altitude, speed, temperature).
Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution :
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to aircraft instrumentation and sensor systems.
- Provide troubleshooting support for on ground and in-flight instrumentation failures.
System Integration :
- Integrate instrumentation components into aircraft systems and coordinate with avionics and electrical engineers to ensure compatibility.
- Oversee installation and configuration of sensors and instrumentation on new and existing aircraft.
Documentation & Reporting :
- Maintain detailed records of system design, modifications, and test results.
- Prepare and submit technical reports, including performance analysis and failure diagnostics.
Collaboration :
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including avionics engineers, aircraft maintenance teams, and design engineers, to ensure smooth integration of instrumentation systems.
- Communicate effectively with project managers and other stakeholders to provide updates and resolve technical challenges.
Compliance & Safety :
- Ensure that instrumentation systems comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and aircraft certification requirements.
- Perform checks and audits to verify compliance with FAA, EASA, or other regulatory guidelines.
Maintenance & Upgrades :
- Provide technical support for the ongoing maintenance of instrumentation systems during aircraft operations.
- Assist in system upgrades and modifications aimed at enhancing performance or addressing new regulatory requirements.
Continuous Improvement :
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in instrumentation technology, avionics, and aircraft systems.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in system design, performance, and troubleshooting processes.
Training & Support :
- Provide technical guidance and training to aircraft maintenance teams regarding instrumentation system operations, troubleshooting, and repair.
- Support operational testing and flight-test instrumentation setup as needed.
