hackajob has partnered with a leading IT services and consulting organization to seek an experienced Front-End AI UX Developer . This role focuses on enhancing the functionality and user experience of an AI-powered chatbot.

Role: Front-End AI UX Developer

Location: Boston, MA, USA

Work Arrangement: Hybrid (3 days per week in the office)

Compensation: Up to $190k, plus perks and benefits

Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities:

• Enhance the chatbot's speed, accuracy, and user experience to meet the growing demand for advanced data inquiries and visualizations.
• Refine user queries, generate SQL code to retrieve data from a Snowflake schema, and transform outputs into clear, chart-ready results.
• Enabling more customizable graphing options through intuitive UI components.
• Supporting a broader array of graph types to meet diverse data visualization needs.
• Developing "modules" for recurring use cases, such as district profiles and cross-district comparisons.
• Develop tools to allow for queries about research and evidence, drawing on a catalog of loaded research papers.
• Incorporating user feedback loops to refine the LLM’s performance and responsiveness.
• Expanding the backend to ensure scalable and sustainable integration of new datasets, reducing technical barriers to future growth.
• Conduct user experience (UX) research to ensure that the tools meet the needs of target users, optimizing ease of use and functionality.
• Implement strict validation protocols to ensure query responses are accurate and safe, with special attention to potential data biases and security issues related to user input.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience working with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) in AI applications.
• 5+ years of experience designing and developing UX for AI-driven applications or chatbots .
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with ReactJS, NextJS, and Tailwind CSS .
• Familiarity with AWS Amplify .
• Prior experience with chatbots is highly advantageous.
