Encore Technologies is seeking an IT Asset Manager – Workspace Services to join our team.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
· Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or relative work experience
· Proven experience in IT asset management or similar role
· Strong understanding of hardware and software technologies
· Knowledge of licensing agreements, compliance standards, and regulatory requirements. Excellent organizational and communication skills
· Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
· Familiarity with IT Service Management (ITSM) processes
· Experience with IT asset management tools and software
· Certification in IT Asset Management, i.e. ITAM Foundation, Certified Software Asset Manager
Core Function:
The IT Asset Manager is responsible for overseeing the management of the lifecycle of IT assets within an organization. This includes procurement, deployment, tracking, maintenance, and disposal for hardware and software assets. Your primary goal is to ensure optimal utilization of IT resources, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with licensing and regulatory requirements. Additionally, this role involves occasional travel, approximately 10% of the time, to various locations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

? Develop and implement strategies for the entire lifecycle of IT assets, from procurement to disposal that aligns with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
? Maintain a comprehensive inventory of all IT assets, including hardware, software licenses, and subscriptions.
? Oversee regular physical inventory audits to verify the accuracy of asset records and identify discrepancies or potential areas for improvement.
? Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with organizational policies.
? Conduct and maintain detailed documentation for each IT asset, including specifications, warranties, and license agreements.
? Generate reports on asset utilization, performance, and compliance for management review.
? Enforce compliance with licensing agreements and legal requirements. Implement security measures to protect IT assets from unauthorized access or potential threats.
? Develop and execute plans for proper disposal or replacement of obsolete/outdated IT assets.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Workforce management of IT asset coordinators including time & PTO management, performance reviews, coaching, disciplinary action, and more as necessary.
