Job Title: Security Data Engineer
About the Role:

This is a critical role where you will be designing and implementing systems that collect, store, and process large-scale security data across various platforms. You will lead initiatives to enhance the security posture through advanced data engineering techniques, ensuring efficient and secure handling of sensitive data across cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and implement log aggregation pipelines to centralize security data from various sources, ensuring it is processed securely and efficiently.
- Design, develop, and manage security data lakes that enable seamless integration and storage of security-relevant data.
- Build and optimize ETL processes (Extract, Transform, Load) to manage large-scale data from security events and integrate them into cloud-based infrastructure.
- Collaborate with security operations and infrastructure teams to ensure data integrity, privacy, and secure data access across platforms.
- Develop cloud-native solutions for ingesting, processing, and storing security data, focusing on scalability and security.
- Drive best practices in data governance, security, and access control in the handling of sensitive security data.
- Utilize data visualization tools to transform complex security data into actionable insights for stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in data engineering, security engineering, or related fields with a focus on security data.
- Strong experience working with log aggregation and security data pipelines .
- Hands-on experience with building and maintaining data lakes and implementing ETL processes.
- Expertise with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and familiarity with cloud-native architectures .
- Solid experience using programming languages such as Python, Go, and Rust for building security data solutions.
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform and AWS CDK .
- Knowledge of security practices, including handling sensitive and encrypted data, ensuring data privacy and integrity.
- U.S. Citizenship and eligibility to obtain a Top Secret security clearance .
Preferred Qualifications:
- Expertise with security tools and ecosystems within AWS , Azure , or GCP .
- Experience with advanced data management strategies, including microservices architectures and containerized solutions.
- Familiarity with managing and optimizing log ingestion, storage, and analysis for high-volume data sets in a security context.
- Experience with data governance , compliance frameworks , and ensuring security across data pipelines.
