A recognized entertainment organization in Connecticut is currently seeking a new Project Manager to join their growing team in Stamford. In this role, the Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring timely and reliable delivery of live, linear, and VOD content to the OTT Platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Be an embedded part of the DNOC team to understand their needs, operational impacts driven by new products / features and manage the programs for successful launch
- Ensure both internal and external teams are fully aligned on goals and objectives; ensure full transparency and communicate effectively
- Provide support and guidance to the project teams fostering teamwork, improving communications, providing suggestions and advice regarding better ways to accomplish objectives
- Identify and proactively manage program risk and keep project teams from repeating past mistakes
- Develop and communicate project plans, timelines and recommendations to executive leadership
- Ensure that all aspects of program cost, quality, timing, and scope meet business requirements
- Establish and maintain essential program documentation
- Conduct regularly scheduled project team meetings to review progress, discuss critical issues, make decisions, refine plans, and keep team members informed of changes to product requirements and/or the development plan
- Produce weekly / monthly reports of program status throughout the project lifecycles
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in Video Operations in a Media or OTT
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems and/or a related field
- Experience in Portfolio and/or Program management
- Experience leading cutting edge technology projects with cross-functional and global teams
- Working knowledge of lifecycle of video operations and various ins, outs and teams involved in getting content onto tech platform (Metadata management, encoding, decoding, QOS, QOE, eyes on glass monitoring, etc.)
- Experience with Agile Project Management tools, such as Smartsheets, JIRA, and Slack is required as is proficiency with Power Point and SharePoint
- Knowledge of technology trends in Media industry, specifically as pertaining to video operations space
- Experience working in consumer software products

- PMI certification (PMP, PMI- ACP), SAFe/Agile or other relevant Project Management certifications
