Conducts routine chart audits and auditing functions, communicates effectively through reporting, email, and meetings to all applicable departments and Administration to inform of problematic areas and improvement needs. Coordinates outside audits and acts as an expert in charge and reimbursement functions.
Required Licenses Registered Nurse
Current Registered Nurse Licensure to practice in the state of Kentucky OR a Current Registered Nurse Licensure with a multistate compact status.
Required Skills Certification: • Requires successful completion of the RN-Coder Stat Program Course by the American Association of Clinical Coders & Auditors (AACCA) • Maintains annual membership with the American Association of Clinical Coders & Auditors (AACCA). • Requires successful re-certification through the American Association of Clinical Coders & Auditors (AACCA) every 2 years.
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Language Skills: Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
Minimum Work Experience • Two years experience in insurance office or physician’s office or three (3) years general office experience.
