Crowe & Dunlevy has an opening for a Legal Administrative Clerk. Working under the supervision of the Director of Human Resources & Administrative Services provides secretarial support and coverage for legal secretaries in the day-to-day support of attorneys and paralegals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Must have good attendance, be punctual and reliable.
· New file preparation
· Maintain and index files as required by practice area and attorneys
· Purge and prepare files for closing
· Assist legal secretaries on a daily basis with administrative duties
· Assist with attorney time entry
· Assist with transcription of legal documents
· May be required to assist with new file opening and conflict inquiries
· Index documents and/or exhibits
· Assist in preparation of various notebooks (i.e. exhibit, hearing and trial)
· Assist in preparation of conference room(s) for client meetings, depositions, arbitrations and mediations
· Assist in scan and copy projects
· Various other special projects as may be assigned by the secretaries and attorneys
· Serves as back up to receptionist
· Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
