We are currently searching for a Portfolio Manager to join our team. The Portfolio Manager performs a wide variety of duties in the Commercial Lending Department. This position is responsible for performing various daily tasks related to the lending functions of the Bank, as well as handling functions that have a regulatory, monetary, and potential reputational risk impact. Functions are time sensitive and must be adhered to by means of policy and procedure.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
- Works directly with commercial loan officers to assist in facilitating the loan application process which may include taking loan applications directly from loan applicants, requesting necessary documentation to aid in the approval process, and beginning the credit memo and cash flow analysis process.
- Processes all loan types which may include commercial real estate and non-real estate in addition to consumer real estate and non-real estate. Tasks may include generating and delivering required disclosures, ordering all required services, and working directly with all parties to the loan transaction to ensure the timely scheduling of loan closings.
- Prepares accurate fundings of all loan transactions prior to closing, which may include preparation of cashier’s checks and outgoing wires necessary to complete the funding of the loan transaction at closing.
- Processes loan advances, ensuring that the project is funded to an appropriate level based on the inspected percentage of completion.
- Works directly with loan officers and borrowers to ensure the Bank’s loan file exceptions, specifically including outstanding financial documentation as it relates to the parties to the lending relationship, are maintained.
- Works the daily past due list and NSF / OD lists to ensure the accounts related to lending relationships are kept current.
- Maintains a thorough understanding of all policies, procedures, and regulations pertaining to the Commercial Lending Department.
- Provides superior customer service to internal and external customers.

Education/ Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent and 3-5 years related experience or equivalent.
- Direct experience and knowledge of loan documentation and loan compliance.
Qualification Requirements:
- Effective interpersonal relationships with management and team members.
- Ability to perform tasks quickly and accurately.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient computer skills, including the Microsoft Office tools, and the ability to utilize the Bank’s current software.
