Mason, OH 45040 (on-site for first 6 months then 3 in and 2 remote hybrid schedule)
General Overview
The Collections Specialist will be responsible for managing a portfolio of business-to-business customers, addressing inquiries about lease contracts, payoffs, payments, taxes, and related topics. This role requires a blend of professionalism, positivity, and assertiveness, ensuring exceptional service while meeting business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries via phone and email.
- Research and resolve concerns related to lease contracts.
- Collaborate with legal, accounting, and other departments to address customer needs.
- Maintain accurate records and update customer account statuses.
- Manage light collections, including making outbound reminder calls and sending past-due notices.
- Contact customers to discuss delinquent accounts and negotiate payments.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Middle Market Collections Manager.
Requirements
- 1+ year(s) of Collections or related experience
- High school diploma or GED.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Customer-focused mindset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or some college coursework.
- Familiarity with Aspire and/or Lease Plus software.
- Experience in the leasing or mortgage industry.
