Job Description: Associate Attorney (Workers' Compensation)

Location: Orange County, California

Work Arrangement: Remote (with travel required for trial appearances in the corresponding court)

Salary Range: $180,000 - $195,000 per year, plus a competitive bonus package and comprehensive benefits

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Associate Attorney on behalf of our client, a respected legal firm specializing in workers' compensation defense, to join their team. This position offers a flexible remote work arrangement, with the expectation of travel to court as required for trial proceedings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in workers’ compensation defense cases, including trial preparation and appearances.
• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, and prepare persuasive arguments to advocate for client interests.
• Develop effective case strategies and provide sound legal advice to clients.
• Collaborate with other attorneys and support staff to ensure timely and efficient handling of cases.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of workers' compensation laws and regulations in California.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in workers’ compensation defense.
• Active membership in the California Bar Association.
• Strong trial advocacy and negotiation skills.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting while managing deadlines effectively.
• Willingness to travel within California for trial appearances as necessary.
