What You Will Do

As a Sr. Mechanical Engineer within MEPPI's Critical Power Solutions Division, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Data Center Cooling systems . Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading product engineering activities for cutting-edge Data Center and IT Cooling products.
  • Developing and overseeing product design drawings, specifications, and Bills of Materials to support manufacturing and assembly operations.
  • Preparing comprehensive documentation, including instruction books and renewal parts lists , while reviewing and approving technical software submittals.
  • Ensuring technical compliance by reviewing order documents and addressing any exceptions or clarifications to customer specifications.
  • Acting as the lead technical liaison between customers, vendors, and CPSD to drive seamless collaboration and meet all stakeholder needs.
  • Providing technical expertise for proposal development and customer support, including resolving technical issues and answering queries.
  • Researching and analyzing operational test data to confirm that designs meet performance standards and functional specifications.
  • Coordinating product design with listing agencies to secure certifications such as UL.
  • Assisting Manufacturing and Quality Assurance teams with design-related production challenges.
  • Proactively identifying and escalating project or product risks to senior management.

What You Will Offer:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and a minimum of 7 years in a design engineering role, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of HVAC products and their application in commercial building environments.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills to engage with customers, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in reading, understanding, and creating technical drawings and materials.
  • The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of quality.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office, CAD, Computational Fluid Dynamics, and engineering analysis software to support technical and project requirements.
