Component Engineering, PCB ECAD Library Management
PCB Layout and Electrical Hardware Testing
Schematic/circuit design experience and responsible for a PCBA circuit design/ with PCB Layout experience, from start to finish with very little guidance from other engineers
Basic analog filter design
Buck regulator design
Power decoupling analysis
How to review microcontroller/processor datasheets and assign signals to pins
How to translate design requirements into circuit elements
How to simulate circuits
Motor controller design (PID), experience with various motor types
Circuit design for EMC/ESD
Board stackup design
Position sensing - encoders, Hall Effect, Photo sensors, etc
Power monitoring
High speed signals - termination, routing, impedance control
Standard IC intercommunication standards: SPI, I2C, I2S, UART, CAN, Ethernet

Minimum Requirements:
- On-site at Lake Forest, California, facility .Immediate availability.
- Bachelor’s Degree Electrical Engineering or higher Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
12+ Years of Relevant Experience Microcontroller/microprocessor-based circuit design. Board-level digital circuit design (for example: memory, I2C/SPI devices, ADC/DAC, etc.).Board-level analog circuit design (for example: sensor conditioning, op amps, filters, linear and switching power supplies, motor drive circuits, etc.). Wired communication interfaces (for example: Ethernet, CAN bus, MIPI, USB, etc.). Extensive knowledge of signal integrity, power integrity, transmission line theory, and other PCBA layout-related issues. Design-for-EMC; Design-for-Safety; Design-for-Reliability. Pluses:
- Deep understanding of wireless communication interfaces starting at physical layer and up to product level (including Wi-Fi, ZigBee, Bluetooth, and RFID).
- Medical device development under 21 CFR Part 820. CPLD/FPGA/ASIC development using Verilog or VHDL.
PCBA layout using Allegro, Altium, or other tools.
