One of our top clients is hiring a Data Visualization Analyst:

Location: Hybrid 2x/week in Vienna, VA; Winchester, VA; or Pensacola, FL

Position Overview

The ideal candidate will have 5–7 years of experience in data visualization and analytics, with a strong background in cybersecurity and hands-on expertise in Plotly as a reporting tool. This role requires someone who can independently lead projects, handle ad hoc requests with precision, and effectively communicate insights through dashboards and presentations. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to support key cyber initiatives and contribute to the organization’s data-driven decision-making process.

Key Responsibilities

• Dashboard Creation and Management: Design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards using Plotly (required) and Power BI (currently in use).
• Data Visualization and Insights: Transform raw data into meaningful and actionable insights to support cybersecurity and organizational initiatives.
• Ad Hoc Analysis: Address ad hoc requests, such as analyzing phishing behaviors and click-rate trends, with attention to detail and accuracy.
• API Integration: Establish and manage API connections to integrate data from multiple sources for visualization and reporting purposes.
• Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with cybersecurity and other organizational teams to combine and analyze datasets for enhanced reporting and insights.
• Public Speaking: Present dashboards and data findings to stakeholders, leading discussions to explain insights and recommendations effectively.
• Cross-Training and Knowledge Sharing: Assist in cross-training team members on handling ad hoc requests and utilizing visualization tools like Plotly.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of experience in data visualization, data analytics, or related roles.
• Proficiency in Plotly (required) and familiarity with Power BI.
• Strong background in cybersecurity, with experience supporting cyber initiatives or teams.
• Hands-on experience with data analytics in both on-premises and cloud environments.
• Proficiency in programming and scripting languages such as Python, R, and SQL.
• Experience with API integration and data merging across multiple platforms.
• Excellent communication skills, including public speaking and the ability to present complex data clearly to diverse audiences.
• Strong ability to manage independent projects and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
