Job Title: Acoustics Engineer - Acoustophoresis Systems

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative acoustics engineer with a passion for advancing technology. You will play a pivotal role in designing, modeling, and implementing state-of-the-art acoustic systems, with a particular focus on acoustophoresis. A key part of your expertise lies in solving complex technical challenges, such as optimizing acoustic fields, designing transducers, and developing flow cells.

Your ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams ensures the seamless integration of your designs into broader platforms. You're driven not only by the pursuit of innovation but also by a commitment to precision and performance, constantly refining and troubleshooting cutting-edge systems. As a technical leader, you're eager to share your knowledge and stay ahead of industry trends in acoustics and acoustophoresis.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design, development, and optimization of acoustophoretic systems, including transducers, resonators, and flow cells.
  • Conduct simulations and modeling of acoustic fields to enhance system performance and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless system integration and compatibility with larger instruments.
  • Develop and execute testing protocols to assess the performance and reliability of acoustophoretic systems.
  • Analyze experimental data to improve designs and troubleshoot system issues.
  • Stay current with the latest advancements in acoustics and acoustophoresis, guiding research and development efforts.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship within the acoustics and system design domains.
  • Contribute to project planning, timelines, and resource management for system development.
Required Skills:
  • Master's or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
  • At least 4 years of experience in acoustics engineering, with a strong focus on acoustophoresis.
  • Proficiency with acoustic modeling tools (e.g., COMSOL) or similar simulation software.
  • Experience in designing, building, and testing acoustic systems, particularly for particle manipulation applications.
  • Strong knowledge of transducer technology, acoustic wave propagation, and fluid-structure interactions.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to collaborate in a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with experience conveying technical concepts to diverse audiences.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience integrating acoustophoretic systems into larger platforms or industrial applications.
  • Familiarity with electronics and signal processing in acoustic systems.
  • Background in microfluidics, biomedical applications, or related fields.

If you're passionate about acoustics engineering and eager to push the boundaries of technology, we encourage you to apply and join our dynamic team!
