What you will do:
Organizational Leadership
- Ensure safety culture throughout the organization through employee involvement and personally setting the standard for safety expectations.
- Support local and corporate safety initiatives including behavior-based safety processes.
- Direct maintenance & reliability prioritization, planning and execution for all departments.
- Prepare facility operational maintenance.
- Manage financial performance to meet budgeted objectives.
- Implement safety and fire protection improvements.
- Plan scheduled downtimes, shutdowns, and support capital project execution.
- Participate in development of the annual business plan and budget.
- Participate as a member of the Mill Leadership Team.
- Identify and participate in quality, production, and cost improvement projects.

What you will need:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field required.
- Minimum ten years’ experience in paper mill maintenance, engineering, budget management, project management and/or production management required.
- Demonstrated communication and leadership skills and the ability to organize, prioritize, plan and coordinate a full-service maintenance organization
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Previous experience using a Computer Maintenance Management system preferred (e.g., JD Edwards).
- Must possess analytical troubleshooting skills.
- Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
- Continuous improvement/lean manufacturing experience preferred
- Financial acumen
- High speed manufacturing environment, sustained exposure to high frequency noises, multiple hours standing, walking on concrete surfaces
- Personal Protective Equipment required in mill environment.
- Dirt, noise, odor, & temperature extremes
- Climbing stairs, ladders, and scaffolding
- Exposure to hazardous chemicals used in manufacturing process
