MBSG is seeking a strategic and experienced Purchasing Agent to join our clients team. This role requires a deep understanding of strategic purchasing and overall supply chain management to ensure efficient procurement of goods and services while optimizing costs and maintaining supplier relationships. You are not managing people, but managing the position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic purchasing plans to meet company objectives.
- Manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure cost-effective procurement .
- Collaborate with internal teams to forecast demand and manage inventory levels .
- Identify and evaluate new suppliers to enhance supply chain resilience and efficiency .
- Monitor market trends and pricing fluctuations to support informed purchasing decisions .
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management , preferably within the petroleum or industrial sector.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills .
- Knowledge of supply chain best practices, vendor management, and cost reduction strategies .
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
