Job Description

About Us: JP Ecommerce has been named one of the top-ten fastest growing businesses in Minnesota by Inc. 5000 for the past four years in a row. Through our brand Bare Home, we provide customers with high-quality organic, chemical-free bedding. As a global player sourcing from key regions including China, India, Pakistan, and Turkey, we're committed to sustainable practices and innovative solutions that benefit both our customers and the environment.

What We're Looking For: We're seeking an Associate Packaging Engineer to join our dynamic team and learn from one of the industry's most experienced packaging professionals. This is a unique opportunity to work directly with our senior Packaging Engineer, who brings decades of expertise and will serve as a mentor to help develop your career in sustainable packaging innovation. If you're passionate about eco-friendly design and eager to learn from a recognized expert in the field, this role offers an exceptional pathway to growth.

Note: This is an Immediate Fill position and 100% On-site. Candidates will be required an on-site interview with at least a two to three week start date if selected.

Team Culture: At Bare Home, we take our work seriously but never ourselves too seriously. Our packaging team operates with what we call a "reduce, reuse, and remember to laugh" philosophy. We're a collaborative group that celebrates both big wins (like our sustainable packaging breakthroughs) and small victories (like finally fitting that oversized comforter into a significantly smaller box). While we're focused on innovation and excellence, we believe the best ideas often come when people feel comfortable enough to think outside the box – or in our case, redesign it entirely.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with our senior Packaging Engineer on sustainability initiatives, including California Prop 65 compliance and plastic reduction projects
  • Support the development of space-efficient packaging designs that optimize shipping container utilization and reduce our carbon footprint
  • Work closely with New Product Development, Quality Control, and Logistics teams to create cost-effective, visually appealing packaging solutions
  • Research and ensure compliance with international packaging regulations across EU, Canadian, and other global markets
  • Assist in testing and implementing new eco-friendly packaging materials and designs
  • Maintain detailed documentation of packaging specifications and testing results
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects focused on sustainability and efficiency

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field
  • 0-3 years of experience in packaging engineering (recent graduates encouraged to apply)
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
  • Must Have: Analytical mindset and eagerness to learn
  • Preferred: Experience with sustainable packaging materials and design
  • To Be Successful: Demonstrate initiative, creativity, and ability to work collaboratively

Career Development Opportunity: This role offers a unique mentorship experience with our senior Packaging Engineer, who has over 20 years of expertise in sustainable packaging innovation. You'll have the opportunity to:

  • Learn industry best practices directly from a recognized expert
  • Develop comprehensive knowledge of international packaging regulations
  • Build expertise in sustainable materials and design principles
  • Grow into a leadership role as you develop your skills and experience

Why Go Bare?

  • Competitive Salary ($65,000-$85,000 based on experience) and Comprehensive Benefits Package, includes Health, dental, Vision, STD and Life Insurance and 401(k) plan.
  • Direct mentorship from an industry expert in a collaborative, growth-focused environment
  • Be part of an Inc. 5000 fastest-growing company making a real environmental impact
  • Opportunity for rapid career advancement and skill development
  • Work with a team that's serious about sustainability but knows how to have fun

To apply, please submit your resume and a cover letter detailing your interest in sustainable packaging and what drives your passion for innovation to or
