SUMMARY

Taylor’s Construction, a Quanta Services company, is searching for a highly skilled Director of Engineering – Telecommunications to join our team located in Waynesboro, VA and will play a key role in driving the company’s expansion into new areas such as design and permitting.

The Director of Engineering – Telecommunications will lead and oversee all engineering activities, with a focus on growing the company's portfolio and expanding into new service areas. This role requires a forward-thinking leader who is capable of managing complex engineering projects and contributing to the development of design and permitting services.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee and manage the engineering department, ensuring successful project execution and operational efficiency.
• Lead and expand the company's expertise in desktop, surveys, and walkouts, and spearhead the transition into design and permitting services.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify new opportunities and ensure that engineering strategies align with overall business goals.
• Actively develop new client relationships and foster growth within existing accounts.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
• Provide leadership, mentoring, and development to engineering teams.
• Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources effectively.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Telecommunications or related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license (Preferred)
• Proven experience in telecommunications, engineering and management.
• Strong knowledge of desktop services, surveys, walkouts, design, and permitting processes.
• Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and client relationship-building skills.
• Experience with business development and expanding service offerings.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and growing environment.
