Summary:

Responsible for ensuring the IT department is in alignment with the business objectives of the organization. The Senior Manager of IT will work with their team to plan, coordinate, direct, and design IT-related activities for the organization, as well as provide administrative direction and support for daily operational activities of the IT department. The Senior Manager of IT and team will work closely with decision-makers in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization. The Senior Manager of IT will also define and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices for the company.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the IT staffing, including recruitment, supervision, scheduling, development, evaluation and disciplinary actions
  • Benchmark, analyze, report on, and make recommendations for the improvement and growth of the IT infrastructure and IT systems
  • Work with stakeholders to define business and systems requirements for new technology platforms and implementations
  • Develop and implement all IT policies and procedures, including those for architecture, security, disaster recovery, standards, purchasing and service provisions
  • Develop, enforce, and maintain the IT security standards, processes, and procedures that ensure company data and information assets are protected, backed up, and available
  • Manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of all IT systems, including ERP systems, telecommunications, servers, PC’s, operating systems, hardware, software, peripherals, and office automation equipment


Job Skills & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience with at least 3 years' experience in an IT leadership role. IT experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Strong information technology technical skills – understanding cloud-based/wireless technology, IoT, Bluetooth, a plus
  • Strong Project Management skills
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Analytical and creative problem-solving abilities
  • Able to address both business and technical requirements
  • Manufacturing experience where an ERP system was utilized
  • Office 365 administrator experience
  • Knowledge of PDQ, Nutanix, KnowBe4, Arctic Wolf, HP Aruba Switching, Miraki, Palo Alto, Connectwise, SQL a plus
  • Professional attitude when approaching work assignments
