Senior Performance Engineer - eCommerce

Key Responsibilities

1. Transformation Strategy & Planning
2. Internalize SFCC Go-Live Strategies: Understand and align with technology decisions made for Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) go-live.
3. Digital Program Familiarization: Gain insights into other Digital Transformation programs within the organization.
4. Testing Review: Assess and refine existing testing strategies and plans for performance optimization.
5. Champion Performance Thinking: Advocate for performance-first approaches within the replatforming program and across teams.
6. Execution of Transformation Projects
7. Team Support: Collaborate with the SFCC delivery team to drive ongoing performance testing efforts.
8. Environment Management: Configure and maintain performance test environments.
9. Test Documentation: Create and maintain performance test plans, test cases, and detailed results documentation.
10. Refining Operational Processes
11. Standardization: Define and maintain a consistent set of testing standards, tools, and methods across teams and vendors.
12. Upstream Monitoring: Build a business case for implementing upstream monitoring capabilities.
13. System Metrics: Establish a point-of-view on key system performance metrics, targets, and SLAs.
14. Performance Monitoring: Synthesize and actively monitor IT performance metrics across omnichannel systems, driving technical capacity planning and tuning.
15. Actionable Insights: Lead performance action planning discussions and establish methods to track and optimize results across teams.

17. Culture Advocacy: Promote a culture of performance-focused development within omnichannel teams.
18. Coaching: Provide mentorship and training to delivery teams on performance testing best practices.
19. Hands-On Support: Deliver practical support for performance testing initiatives and perform code reviews in collaboration with Tech Leads.

Required Skills & Experiences

• Performance Testing Expertise: Proven experience in designing, executing, and managing performance testing strategies, including tools like LoadRunner, JMeter, K6, or similar.
• Digital Transformation & Replatforming: Hands-on experience with medium to large-scale replatforming or migration projects, preferably in retail or eCommerce domains.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Strong ability to work with diverse teams (technical, business, vendors) to align performance goals with strategic objectives.

Preferred Industry & Project Experience

• Retail or eCommerce background with prior experience in Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) or similar platforms.
• Expertise in digital transformation initiatives, focusing on omnichannel performance metrics and testing methodologies.

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields.
• Relevant certifications in performance testing or Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) are a plus.
