Job Description

The Lead IT Project Manager serves as a critical liaison between IT and internal business units, reporting to the IT Manager of Programs. This role is responsible for providing comprehensive project management, analysis, and support services to ensure the successful execution of various IT initiatives.


Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Leadership : Lead projects by utilizing IT best practices, project management techniques, and effective communication strategies to meet organizational goals.
  • Strategic Coordination : Oversee the planning and execution of projects aligned with the organization’s strategic priorities and IT roadmap.
  • Project Planning : Develop and manage project plans, including setting targets, tracking resources, and ensuring milestones are met.
  • Delegation : Collaborate with resource managers to assign project tasks to the most suitable team members.
  • Monitoring and Reporting : Track and report project status, adjusting schedules and targets as necessary.
  • Solution Evaluation : Work with IT and other business units to assess third-party solutions and in-house technology options.
  • Implementation : Support the deployment of IT projects, including online and web apps for various departments.
  • Problem-Solving : Address complex challenges by analyzing multiple sources of information and providing data-driven solutions.
  • Risk Analysis : Perform technical evaluations to understand risks and financial implications, building business cases for management decision-making.
  • Additional Duties : Perform other related duties as assigned.


Job Requirements

Qualified candidates will possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field with a focus on project management.
  • At least eight years of IT experience, including six years in application support and four years in systems/IT project management. PMI certification is a plus.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to promote teamwork and ensure the timely delivery of projects.
  • The ability to work independently, take initiative, and communicate complex information effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • A broad understanding of information systems and deep expertise in specialized areas.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret business issues and recommend best practices and solutions.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written.
