Job Responsibilities:
- Manage overall Capital Budget program.
- Act as the primary point of contact for overseeing the Operating Budget.
- Develop Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and visualization tools to accurately and concisely report on budget status.
- Provide engineering and project management support for activities at non-manufacturing sites.
- Manage overall project schedule and budget, including management reporting.
- Prepare project status reports addressing schedule, budget, safety, and current open issues.
- Monitor contractor performance regarding safety, cost, and schedule performance tracking.
- Develop detailed user criteria documentation for project implementation activities.
- Develop scope of work for the procurement of materials and labor.
- Review specifications, utility standards, drawing reviews, and coordinate with customers.
- Monitor and coordinate architect/engineer site visits and responses to contractor inquiries.
- Monitor delivery and review of shop drawings and submittals.
- Coordinate update and review meetings with contractors and consultants to monitor progress on activities.
- Provide an initial review of vendor and contractor payment applications, validating actual project progress against the approved schedule of values.
- Evaluate, negotiate, and make recommendations regarding proposed change directives and change orders.
- Oversee the contractors' Quality Control program and ensure Quality Control procedures adhere to the plans.
Requirements:
Required Qualifications:
- Educational Level: Bachelor's Degree with a Major in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management.
- Experience managing complex budgets.
- Construction project management experience of 5+ years working on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with individual project construction types of various scope and size.
- Technical knowledge of design/building construction engineering and schedule management.
- Intermediate to Advanced skill level with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project).
Additional Qualifications:
- Technical knowledge and understanding of project scheduling and estimating.
- General understanding of construction safety programs and requirements.
- Software capabilities: AutoCAD, Blue Beam, Microsoft Visio.
Note: The candidate needs to have experience with commercial and industrial renovations and facility improvement projects with a primary focus on the commercial side. The candidate will need to work overtime up to about 10 hours a week and may need to work on weekends and holidays depending on project status. The candidate will be required to be onsite and do occasional site visits to resolve concerns with customers and contractors. There is about 10% travel involved.
