Position Overview & Responsibilities:
The Systems Engineer will be will be handling Linux support and proxy server support and will be responsible for implementing and enforcing security measures to protect cloud environments, including access controls and encryption. They have clients with several instances in GDT, VMWare & OCI that this person will also support. This person needs to be a strong Linux Engineer to work on migrations and consolidation of data centers into the cloud (Azure & OCI) – They manage about 600 virtual machines. The ideal candidate is willing to jump in wherever the need is and help in as many areas as they have the skills to do so!
Top Skills :
- 5+ years' experience as an admin/engineer supporting windows & linux environments for security and networking
- 2+ years of experince configuring cloud infrastructure and services (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI etc.)
- 2+ years' experience managing virtualization environments (VMware vSphere or Red Hat KVM based virtual machines)
- Previous experience with automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Shell, Python, PowerScripting.)
